An exceptional and important Wall sculpture in hammered wrought iron and polished Rock Crystal by Sylvain Subervie. The Trilogy is composed of 3 rectangular wall panels contrasting raw and precious materials . Each panel has an original pattern made of rock crystal alternating with the hammered wrought iron and at its center a crystal rock pyramid hollowed out for light. Both the iron work and the cutting of the crystal is incredibly intricate: it takes between 5000 and 6000 working hours to make this piece. The trilogy originated in a piece Subervie completed in 2005 of a chessboard. He than created the Shield Warriors in 2006 and pursuing further the technique of cutting and polishing the stone he created this piece in 2007. An edition of 8. This one is marked 3/8 and signed. Subervie has created this piece and the others preceding to express a preoccupation with combating war. The brutal beauty of the work directly inspired by his experience of Madagascar where he lives is a contribution to finding the value of life.
