A unique pair of Sylvain Subervie's "Warriors for Peace" Sculptures in Hammered wrought iron Gilded in 23 Karat with Rock Crystal finishing the helmet and the shield Signed and numbered.1/2 and 2/2 Before this pair in 23 K gold Subervie created the warriors in wrought iron in 2006 to express a preoccupation with combating war. The brutal beauty of the work directly inspired by his experience of Madagascar where he lives is a contribution to finding the value of life. These shield warriors are part of a monumental art project: the Army of Shield Warriors that will be reunited for a major event in the near future Important events featuring the warriors took place in Antibes, France during the major yachting event 'Les Voiles D'Antibes" May 30, 2012 with 50 warriors on the ramparts of the city. Other events are scheduled in 2013 and 2014 Other monumental works of Subervie have been acquired by cities in France including Cagnes sur Mer
